Arsenal returned to winning ways as they comfortably defeated Bournemouth 3-0 at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League. The Gunners continued their unbeaten start to the league campaign, reclaiming their place in the top four.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, were hoping to avoid equalling their club-record run of seven games without a win at the start of a league campaign. However, Arsenal’s dominance proved too much for them.

The early breakthrough came from Bukayo Saka, who capitalized on Gabriel Jesus’ header hitting the woodwork. Saka nodded the ball into an empty net, leaving Bournemouth’s defense helpless once again. This marked the ninth time in 12 home games that Bournemouth had conceded the first goal.

Arsenal continued to assert their control and doubled their lead just before halftime. Max Aarons’ rash challenge on Eddie Nketiah resulted in a penalty for the Gunners, which Martin Ødegaard converted with composure.

The second half brought more misery for Bournemouth as Ryan Christie conceded a penalty, allowing Kai Havertz to score his first Premier League goal for Arsenal. The victory was sealed with a late headed goal from Ben White.

It was a dominant performance from Arsenal, who have now won three consecutive away games at the start of a Premier League campaign for just the third time in their history. Their solid defensive display also earned them a third successive clean sheet, a feat they hadn’t achieved since 2021.

On the other hand, Bournemouth’s struggles against Arsenal continued. They have now only won one of their last 15 encounters with the Gunners.
