The centre-back will leave Milan after the season.
– There is no drama in it, says agent Mikkel Beck to bold.dk.
Since 2020, Danish Simon Kjær has played in Milan. But he won’t be around when the next season starts.
The 35-year-old’s agent, Mikkel Beck, confirms to bold.dk that the veteran will leave the red and blacks when the contract expires this summer.
– There is no drama in it and the parties go their separate ways in agreement, says Beck to the site.
He continues:
– It’s a natural farewell and Simon has loved playing there for more than four years. It’s at a time that feels right.
It is unclear where the moving load is headed next.
– I can confirm that there was interest from other big clubs this winter, just as there always is for a player of Simon’s qualities and reputation internationally. But Simon was only set on finishing the season in Milan.
The centre-back has appeared in 24 competitive matches for Milan this season.
Kjær has previously played for clubs such as Sevilla, Atalanta and Fenerbahce. In addition to his club team achievements, he has made over 130 international appearances for Denmark.
