Liverpool’s long-standing goalkeeping coach John Achterberg, 52, is leaving the English club this summer – after 13 years of service in the A team.
Now the Daily Mirror states that Achterberg’s next assignment is complete, as he is expected to join Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia this summer.
Gerrard and Achterberg know each other from before, when both were at Liverpool at the same time.
